Before and After School Programs
The SLSD contracts with Generations Learning Center to offer a before and after school program during the school year from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The program is offered at some of the elementary schools and at Generations Learning Center on Campbell Road, next to Whitewater Valley Elementary. The program is 22 years old and provides children with breakfast, homework time and after school activities. For more information, contact Generations at 513-367-1234.
Self Addressed Envelope
You can send in a self addressed, stamped, #10 letter sized envelope (please no small envelopes as the report cards do not fit in them) with your child to have their final report card of the year mailed to you. You can just send in one per family, but please list the names of all students whose report cards you want mailed and their teachers on the back of the envelope. They will be mailed out the week of June 10th.
End of the year stuff!
Please check to make sure that your child has returned all their library books, school books, returned spring pictures, paid any lunch charges and have paid all school fees before the end of the year. Any student who still owes at the end of the year will not receive their report cards. Also, keep in mind their debt follows them from school to school in the district and may prevent them from receiving their schedule at the jr. school if not paid.
Spring Pictures
Spring pictures will be coming home soon. Please look over the pictures, select the ones that you would like to keep, then return the rest with a check made payable to Ritchie Photo for the ones you selected. If you choose not to keep any just return the entire package. Students will be held responsible for all pictures not returned to the school. All pictures and/or payments should be received no later than the last day of school in order for the students to get their final report cards.
NEW PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT UPDATE
We would like to thank everyone who has donated to our playground equipment fund. To date we have raised approximately $24,500.00 from school funds, donations and fundraisers which is more than enough to pay for Phase I. We still have a little ways to go to have the funds for Phase II, so we still need your help.
The good news is that installation is scheduled for July 20th and will need 15 to 20 volunteers to help with the installation. If you and/or other family memebers or friends would like to help please call the school at 513-367-5577 with contact information.
Thank you to everyone who has donated and your continued support of this worthwhile project. Keep in mind all donations are tax deductible and all those who donate $100.00 or more will have their names put ona plaque that will be displayed near the sight.
Playground Challenge!
We are asking families and friends of WVE to donate $5.00 a month for the next 5 months, Nov. - March to help raise the funds needed for new playground equipment. Families that donate over $100.00 will get their name on a plaque and special recognition plagues for those in the $500.00+ Club. These donations are anticipated to raise $13,000.00 - $16,000.00 towards the cost of the new playground equipment. All donations are tax deductible and letters will be generated on letterhead for tax purposes.
